On August 14, 2024 the Hodgkins Police Department participated in the Law Enforcement Vehicle Night at the Lemont Cruise Night, in Lemon, IL. The Hodgkins PD vehicle, driven by Deputy Chief Ryan Carrasquillo, won third place in the competition for most popular squad car.
The cruise night event is a great opportunity for community members and police officers from all around the area to get to meet and interact with each other. The show hosted a variety of departmental squad cars, motorcycles, and specialty vehicle. The event culminated with a “lights and sirens” parade through Lemont’s downtown area. According to Lemont Police Department Chief Marc Maton, more than sixty-five agencies participated in the event.
